Laura Linney

Laura Linney, born February 5th, 1964 in New York in the U.S.A. She is an American actress known for portraying powerful, but fragile characters. Linney is from the theatre-loving side of her family. Her father was a writer. Her mother, Romulus Linney was a renowned writer. In 1986, she received her degree at Brown University. She then went on to study Theatre Arts at the Arts Theatre School Moscow before finishing her studies at Juilliard School with a M.F.A. in New York City in 1990. The year 1990 was the year she started her Broadway career. Her work was highly praised, including both Hedda Gabrieller as well as Six Degrees of Separation.
